Jason,
I will be attending Century College in White Bear Lake MN to do my generals, and then transfer to the University of Minnesota, or UW River Falls. School will take 4 years, and I will be attending full time. I would be interested in internships though to help me get some expierience. Do I need to get further along in school before internships really become available to me?
Jason,
I am going back for a degree in crop and soil sciences. I am willing to relocate to Wisconsin, or stay in MN. I will be starting school this fall. Still not sure on a specific career path, but know it will be in the ag industry.
Thanks for the internship information, but I have already accepted an internship for the summer. I will be looking for a full-time job upon graduation next May, though.
Hi Jason, Thanks for the note, I have a job offer on the table in IA and going to Interview for the second time in Eastern WI and also interview this Monday north of me about 60 miles. Another firm wants to see me Wed but don't want to upset the one that offered me a job. I like the grain side more then the Agronomy, mainly I spent 24 years in that field with other job responsibilities as a pass GM. Always open to hear where jobs are located but like I said time is running out if I will take the job in IA. Thanks Jim Bisek
Jason,
I am not exactly sure on what exact type of position I am looking for. Honestly I haven't looked much into specific positons, but I know that I want to work in the ag industry more on the crop production end. I like talking to new poeple, problem solving, and even have a small hobby farm myself that I get to play with. Maybe you could fill me in on some positions and what they do. I will be going to school in the fall to help me change career paths.
Jason
Thanks for asking. The new job came by word of mouth from friends. My new employer has been looking for a person and had tried placement agencies and web sites. Did a number of interviews over the last 6 months but just hadn't found the right fit. I was lucky enough to know people who knew people etc etc. Some times luck and timing are better than the "best laid plans". Which was what I had been trying for 5 months.
Keep doing what you love! I'm sure things will come together more quickly as you continue to make contacts and get connected even further.
Hello Jason,
THanks for the note. I have accepted a position 8 weeks ago and have moved. I'd be happy to visit with you further about other things but am grateful and excited with this new opportunity. Thanks again,
Paul
