What is your current occupation?
I work in the Public Affairs department at the N.C. Department of Agriculture, which also serves as the Press Office for the N.C. State Fair.
Do you have a career objective? What is it?
Better connect the media and public to organizations, agencies and events with engaging, interesting messages to share.
What can you bring to this network that will be helpful to others?
The N.C. State Fair recently completed its first social media campaign at the 2008 Fair. We utilized Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Twitter and a blog to better connect with fair visitors and the media. We thought it was highly successful and are looking for ways to continue the campaign next year and find applications to the N.C. Department of Agriculture as a whole.
