CAREER OBJECTIVE
To be the most well connected professional in the agricultural industry, and create an overall awareness of person to person networking importance as a venue to increase productivity, opportunity, success, and happiness.

VALUE
What does Mark Jewell bring to the table? I am a relentless networker. My experiences in life are almost always people-centric, and this has allowed me to practice purposeful networking strategies. Additionally, I am an entrepreneurial minded strategist, always looking for new ways to advance the organizations I am involved with. Self starting with little or no guidance has become second nature to me in my most recent endeavors. More than ten years of training, facilitation, and speaking experience have conditioned me to be comfortable with almost any audience.

Posted on February 18, 2010 at 8:11am 0 Comments

In all my job searches, applying to job boards has rarely gotten me anywhere. One time I picked up a crappy door to door straight commission sales gig. Turns out it was a pyramid scheme - I was just too inexperienced to see through the smoke and mirrors at the onset!

Networking is the most powerful way to assure yourself a career that you love. Talk with the people you know. Let it be known you're open to a new job, or industry. You'll be surprised how many people you…

Hi Mark - Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm interested in freelance writing opportunities. My ag writing experiences include: Communications Specialist with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Co-Event Manager for CowParade Wisconsin 2006, freelance work for members of the Cooperative Communicators Association and a number of dairy marketing and communications internships within the Wisconsin Dairy industry. I recently moved to Door County, Wisconsin to be with my husband who dairy farms and have delved into the agricultural credit world. I am getting the itch to begin communicating again!

Mark, when you get a chance, take a look at this Ning group. It is focused on central Indiana: http://www.smallerindiana.com/ . Pat Coyle, former web marketing person for the Colts, started this and has been using it to build community around various local community projects.

Most of my placements have been in CA and the west but I hope to broaden my business to include more of the US. This site looks like it might have potential as a springboard towards the east. THANKS!

Thanks Mark! I am currently living in Golden Valley. I continue to work for Philip Morris USA as a territory sales manager. I am in shock that it will be five years this summer. (time goes by too fast) I hear you are moving back to MN.
