Iowa FFA Foundation, Inc.

The Iowa FFA Foundation, Inc. is accepting applications for its Executive
Director position. Established in 1986, the Foundation's mission is to seek
and provide financial support to assist agricultural education organizations in
accomplishing their missions. The Iowa FFA
Foundation works with different entities to acquire financial support that
primarily benefits educational programs developed by the Iowa FFA Association,
Iowa FFA Alumni Association, Postsecondary Agricultural Students of Iowa, and
the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators. The
position of Executive Director provides the opportunity for a motivated
individual to positively impact the Iowa agriculture education family and the
over 12,000 Iowa FFA members.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently on a day-to day basis to achieve the Foundation's goals. Job responsibilities include managing all
Foundation funds and fundraising plans, maintaining close relationships with
donors, managing all correspondence, records, financial statements, and working
closely with the State FFA Executive Secretary/Treasurer and State FFA Advisor
to meet the needs of the Iowa FFA, it’s members, and advisors. The candidate
should demonstrate the ability to create an environment that fosters diversity,
collegiality and ability to work in a multicultural setting. This position will continue the fund-raising
efforts for the new FFA Enrichment Center.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree, personal drive and initiative, strong computer proficiencies, and excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills are
required. Previous involvement with the
FFA and/or fund raising experience is desirable. A strong commitment to expanding and
fostering diversity is required. Extensive day and occasional overnight
travel is required. The position will be located in or near Ankeny, IA with an
office in the Foundation Office Suite at the FFA Enrichment Center on the DMACC
campus. This position will require an
individual to work some nights and /or weekends as the job requires.

Compensation package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and range from $40,000 to $60,000 annually. Materials are due by November 1, 2010.
