Seriously - ONLINE PEOPLE SEARCHING - is the new job hunting and candidate sourcing. When someone views your online profile, what do they learn about you? Does your profile cause them to take action and call you or write a message? Are you putting yourself out there and making yourself look good? Does all the content that represents you online simply SCREAM: "You NEED to hire me?"

If not - then you are missing out on the golden opportunity to represent yourself hundreds of times over.

Of course you could take the easy way out. You could say, "I know I am great - even if my online profile doesn't show it. I'll prove it when we meet in person!" BULLSH*T! The number of people searching you on Google is rapidly increasing, and that includes recruiters or hiring managers. Legal or Illegal, its happening. So, when someone searches your name, and they find your AJN profile (believe me, the analytics for this site prove its happening almost daily) will they see a little green globe where your face should be?


Let's face it. Recruiters? Hiring Managers? They're just not that into you! That is why you need to get after THEM! Invade their space. Figure out who they are. Learn their strategy. And by all means - keep your darn online profiles clean, and up to date!

It might not be them...it could be you!
